This was a storage-barn find an hour and a half north of Milwaukee. The gentleman was cleaning things out and just wanted it gone and the price was a bargain.

This model is one of the famous “shutter-dial” models and also has the magic-eye tuning indicator. The walnut-veneered cabinet needed nothing other than some TLC with Howard “Feed-N-Wax” and some minor glue repairs where things were loose, there are quite a few joints in the cabinet. 9-tubes, 3-bands (broadcast and 2 shortwave), push-button tuning for up to 8 stations you can preset. Also features Zenith’s “radiorgan: tone control with up to 64 possible combinations.

The chassis got the usual work-over and the “radiorgan” needed all new tabs and a good cleaning, the tuning knob was incorrect so a reproduction was ordered. this will be a keeper
